Can’t seem to get it in my cart yet 😦

  2. Hortator says:

Same thing for me as Unknownsou. It says “Product [Kara no Shoujo] is out of 1 stock”.

  3. unknownsou says:

Yep, it’s working. You guys got your first sale from me with this game.

  4. mahou says:

    Congrats on another release!

Gah! Still waiting for my new credit card to arrive. Too bad you guys don’t take paypal. Oh well *goes back to playing Zelda 3DS and waiting for new credit card*.

  5. Suzu says:

Congrats on the release, guys. I’ll have to wait a little while before I can purchase it though.

  6. unknownsou says:

Huh… so is there supposed to be no DRM on this release? Because I tried running the game and it never prompted me for any CD key or anything.

Which is fine with me, of course.

  7. Anon says:

Eh, come on guys, I bought it right now and am not allowed to download it. That’s supposed to be a bad joke, isn’t?

  8. Hortator says:

It looks like it’ll be working fine for when I play it tomorrow. Congrats on the release, guys. This one looks amazing, too.

  9. so wait, why did my copy have no DRM? was that intended?

i started my download and went to sleep…when i woke up i ran it and i never got a DRM check o.o

    fine by me however!

  10. Haba says:

What about physical copies, any idea when those would be available in the store?

  11. chrome says:

Up to chap 3 and I’m liking it so far. The tlwiki team did an excellent job translating and thank you mangagamer for releasing it.

  12. Ladius says:

Bought, I’m really grateful to Apoptosis and MangaGamer for bringing this gem to the west, I hope we can see more InnocentGrey localizations in the future, maybe starting with Cartagra 🙂

    • anonymous says:

Seconded; I’ve been wanting to play Cartagra for a really long time 😀

  13. Nurio says:

I am interested in this, but due to the humongous backlog I have, I will refrain from purchasing it right now.
I want to finish some other visual novels first…!

But congrats on the release nonetheless.

  14. Anon says:

This release (sadly!) seems to be rather ill-fated:
    1. Missing DRM. Not that anyone would be missing it.
    2. Download not available, likely because of the missing DRM.
    3. Bug with the notebook in game spoiling the whole game.
    4. Authentication servers seem to be down for now.

Maybe mangagamer has some nice compensation for its loyal customers 😉 Hint: DRM free version for all of us.

I’m really looking forward to playing this game, so hopefully tomorrow everything is resolved.

    • gaudy6523 says:

Maybe the Manga Gamer staff is busy flying to LA right now…?

    • Nurio says:

“This release has no DRM! To compensate, give a DRM-free version!”

The people who got issue 2, 3 and 4 also got “issue” 1 and don’t need any compensation anymore.

    • wait, there was a bug in the notebook spoiling the whole game?

i haven’t gotten to set down with it yet…but im a little hesitant to start it now D:

      • kouryuu9 says:

Yes, the bug causes the end-game description for a few specific characters to be displayed when their notebook entry is first created. A few lines later it’s updated, and the problem is gone.

However, if you open the notebook during that brief time frame, it reveals who killed who, and so forth.

The version with this bug also seems to have a few text errors and such that were corrected between the Beta version and the Final version, so we’re working on getting the properly-functioning version up as I type this. We’ll announce on our twitter once the working version is up.

        • fuji says:

This is why you double check.

          • Shinku says:

            Agreed.

While it is only a minor bug (well, minor in the sense of only a small timeframe where it may occur), it’s a bit frustrating on principal.

You guys at MangaGamer do seem to be getting better with each release, but I know the grammatical issues, spelling mistakes, bugs, lack of voices (I know this is out of your hands) and so on have put a lot of people off buying from you.

        • Hans says:

Any news so far on the patched release?

  15. Sauce says:

I’m going to be trusted with the lives of many people with this game….. They’ll probably all die with my deduction skills.

    • Zexis says:

That is why the god of the game world gave us the Save feature…Though, I can’t blame you…I have a feeling I’m going to be getting a LOT of bad ends…>.<

    • DarkFusion says:

It’ll probably end like this, lol:

  16. kuchiko_toko says:

So happy this is out; truly a gem of a game.

Out of curiosity, is there an e-mail or forum, or similar, where bugs and errors and such can be reported? I’ve found an error in the notebook that gives huge spoilers on a particular day.

    • Nurio says:

Yeah, there’s the MangaGamer forums where you can do that (The link is on the MangaGamer website.)

However, the bug you’re describing has already been reported.

  17. Sam says:

Thank you so much for getting this localized Mangagamer. I am really loving this novel. I really hope you’ll bring over other IG titles someday, like Caucasus (delicious 16:9 VN), Cartagra and Kara no Shoujo 2.

I just got my first bad end… I’ll continue playing now, hoping for a better end. 🙂

  18. I purchased the game yesterday, downloaded from my profile (about 800MB or so) when I ran the game it asked for license key which I provided. Is this version buggy or do I have to re-download? will my license key work again?

    • Azuku says:

As far as I’m aware the buggy version is the one still up (and the one you have). MangaGamer said on their twitter they’d post when the correct version was up, and that has yet to happen. I would expect your key will work again fine.

The bugs, namely the spoiler one, is pretty easy to avoid though. I’ve been playing the first release for a while now and haven’t gotten spoiled. Just don’t open the notebook upon meeting someone for the first time, wait until they’ve talked for a while.

    • Suzu says:

I think you can use the license key up to five times or so. They’ll announce via twitter when the fixed version is uploaded. You probably won’t have to buy it again.

      • Nurio says:

How can you answer that with “probably”? Of course you don’t have to buy it twice!
The product key indeed works for 5 activations. However, if you ever run out of those 5 activations, you can always ask for a new product key. (Unless you burn through them like wildfire)

      • Ladius says:

Maybe you will have to download it again, but don’t worry about the “buying” part, one time is plenty enough 😛

I’m gonna wait to be sure I download the updated version, spoilers would destroy this game for me.

  19. ShinnFlowen says:

I bought the game today “June 30” and it won’t let me download the game from the main website. Why LET me purchase it when I can’t even play it T_T.

  20. yagamisan says:

I’ll be hoping for an future voice patch u.u

  21. Is it safe to download the game now? Has the finished version been released?

  22. Sauce says:

Yay, my first bad end 😀

  23. ReMeDy says:

Oh there WILL be a voice patch, whether we, the fans, have to f&)@# hack it in ourselves! First we translated games. Then we merged with companies. And now, we’re going to Washington D.C. to take back the White House!!!…. YEEEAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  24. Bob says:

Any news about a hard copy? I’m normally a hard copy kind of person but this game is getting more and more tempting…

  25. lurkingsalt says:

I happily purchased a copy once I saw it went on sale. I have to give my thanks to everyone involved in making this game available in English, we rarely get something this high class here in the west. I have been having a blast going through it and don’t have any regrets with my purchase. Hope it gets the sale it very much deserves.

  26. Allen75 says:

I can’t believe you guys uploaded the incomplete version of the game and had to take it down and re-up it. I was sitting around for hours trying to get the damn game to download, quite disappointing.

You had a while to test this out after the game was finished right? Why didn’t you guys do some testing on your end?

    • gaudy6523 says:

Actually they upped the sans-DRM version of the complete game first. If you were pro and hammered the site at launch like a real fan then you would have gotten the DRM-free exclusive. But instead you came and got residual trash because Manga Gamer staff was busy in LA’s Little Tokyo getting trashed.

In all seriousness, you’re totally late to the ragequit blame-fest. Next time come cry when it’s still relevant.

      • Allen75 says:

Not ragin’ here or joining in… A bit annoy ’tis all. I didn’t even know they uploaded the DRM free version, the CS told me they uploaded an incomplete… oh. I get it now. “Incomplete” 😛

I was hammering away at launch, but well, the servers were already hammered so I couldn’t even complete 5% of the DL.

I bitch when I want. ’cause I’m a paying customer.

  27. Random says:

mm, is there any hope for “Caucasus” from the same developer in the nearest (or not-so-nearest) future?

  28. Good to know 🙂 Can we hope to read Cartagra in future?
